PotAprons

The PotApron® is a split-leg apron designed by potters for potters and are made in the UK.

PotAprons are stylish, comfortable, safe for use in the pottery and easy to clean.

Water-resistant, durable, practical, convenient and safe.

“The PotApron is great because it’s made in line with industry best practice in respect of managing exposure to silica dust. Fabrics made from natural fibres, such as cotton, retain the finest, most dangerous silica dust in their fibres, even after washing.” James Otter, Potclays

Lightweight Materials

A PotApron weighs in at around 125 grams. That’s about a third the weight of a conventional cotton apron.

The aprons are approx 41.25 inches long (105cm) and 29 inches wide (74cm).
The length from the top leg-split to the bottom hem is approx 21.5 inches (55 cm).
Bespoke aprons are available. Read on the CONSTRUCTION button to read more.

PotApron Towel Clips

A PotApron comes with three handy clips that allow you to attach a towel or cloth of your choosing. A towel is quickly removed and replaced.

Please note that PotApron does not supply towels since most potters are adept at repurposing old towels and cutting them to the required size.

A tip for potters in North America: bar mop towels widely available in the USA are a good size for fitting to the PotApron’s three clips.

New Cross-Over Strap Design

Cross-over straps provide comfort and convenience while you work. The only disadvantage is that they can be tricky to put on and take off, especially if you’re wearing glasses or earrings. Our design means that you get the advantages of cross-over straps without the downsides.

A clip holds the shoulder straps together at the back so that you don’t have to pass a strap over your head at any time. Simply put your arms through the straps and clip together at the back. It’s that simple.

About PotApron
